About Me

I am a Software Engineer currently living in Burbank, California. I work at OpenX as a data engineer.
I tend to work on a wide variety of projects, now my work is mainly on REST webservices using Java, some EJB, data warehousing and data processing using Open Source (mysql and hadoop).

In my spare time I write code in ruby on rails, perl (mainly coding websites and mashups) and objective-C for the iPhone.

I also love to practice sports, mainly soccer, mountain biking and running. Beside computer languages, I also like to learn human languages, and beside my native Italian and Sardinian, I do speak English and Spanish, and I'd like to learn French, German, Russian and Mandarin when I have some spare time :)

I was born in Cagliari, Italy, and attended Turin Polithechnic where I graduated with a Laurea in Electric Engineering. I then moved to the US of A to pursue a career in technology. After working for Alchemy, for Sendia (later acquired by SalesForce) and after three years at Yahoo I landed at OpenX where we work to build an Open Source internet advertisement platform.
